Philadelphia’s veteran heavy music festival, Rock Allegiance, has announced its arrival for the 2017 year – with a few changes.

Previously held at the Talon Energy Stadium directly outside of Philadelphia in Chester, Pa., this year’s festivities will be held at the BB&T Pavilion, formally known as the Susquehanna Bank Center, and will be one day, Oct. 7, instead of the two-day span that was featured last year.

Returning this year, after a year off, is headliner Rob Zombie; as well as other rock/metal acts: Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, Halestorm, Mastodon, Gojira, In This Moment, Steel Panther, August Burns Red, Beartooth, Starset, Radkey, Bleaker, Badflower, While She Sleeps, DED, Black Map, Greta Van Fleet, He Is Legend, Biters, Them Evils, and more yet to be announced.

As always, this year’s Rock Allegiance festival will be sponsored by Monster Energy drinks, and will also feature food and craft beers from vendors in the surrounding Philadelphia area.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now, however, the VIP experience has already been sold out while General Admission lawn seats are still up for grabs at $44.50 per ticket, and Reserved Pavilion tickets for $70.

With an outstanding lineup already announced, this year is sure to live up to its reputation. After all, last year’s Rock Allegiance left me with a sore neck, a concussion and a deeper love for the Philadelphia music scene – I hope to see metal and rock fans horns held high in a sea of black again come October!
